Jesus Calms the Storm Bible Story Overview
One evening, Jesus and His disciples crossed the Sea of Galilee in a boat. A fierce storm arose, with waves crashing and threatening to sink them. The disciples were terrified awoke Jesus, who was sleeping peacefully. Jesus got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Silence, be still!” Instantly, the storm stopped, and the sea became calm. Amazed, the disciples asked, “Who is this that even the wind and waves obey Him?” This miracle reveals Jesus’ divine power, even over nature, and teaches us to trust Him in life’s storms. Adapted from Matthew 8, 23—27, Mark 4, 35—41, and Luke 8, 22—25.
