About us

We are artists sharing God’s message through creativity. We are storytellers passionate about offering families creative ways to start Christ-centered conversations. We are media professionals creating Biblical content for children around the world.

Our mission

Waking Word Inc is a Vermont nonprofit partnering with churches and families right here in our communities and around the world. Our mission is to equip families and Christian educators to share Jesus with the children in their life and invite them to share him back. We believe creative and immersive media, art, play, and retelling are powerful tools that build biblical literacy.

That’s why storytelling is the center of our work. We recognize listeners emerge from  stories a little different than how they entered, perhaps wiser, sadder, gladder, or more thoughtful. But more importantly, perhaps a little closer to Jesus. We are all shaped by the stories we love. God knows this. Jesus showed this. The stories of the Bible have the power to transform, which is why it’s so important we share them with one another.

What we believe

1. All people are created in the image of God.
2. The Holy Bible is of final authority.
3. We are called by God to be good stewards of His entire creation.
4. The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins. All who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His sacrifice.
5. We believe in the resurrection, ascension, present existence and future return of Jesus Christ.
6. There is one living God, three-persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), existing in one essence—perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom and measureless in power.
