Instead, He promised they would receive the Holy Spirit to empower them to share His message worldwide. As they watched, Jesus was lifted into the sky, hidden by a cloud. Then two angels appeared, assuring the disciples that Jesus would return again one day. The Ascension shows Jesus’ victory over death and the ongoing presence of the Spirit, inspiring us to spread His love.
