Lesson 1: God’s Presence Empowers Obedient Faith

3 Battle of Jericho Craft Activities

Craft 1: Jericho Wall Pop-Up Scene

What You Need: Construction paper (brown, blue, green), scissors, glue, markers, popsicle sticks, tissue paper.

1. Fold a piece of blue construction paper in half to create a card base.
2. Cut brown construction paper into rectangular “bricks” to form a wall, gluing them in a curved shape on the card’s inside to pop up when opened.
3. Draw and cut out figures of Joshua, priests, and the ark from construction paper, gluing them to popsicle sticks.
4. Add green tissue paper as grass around the wall’s base and draw a blue sky.
5. Open the card to show the wall “falling” as the figures stand before it.

Why It Helps: The pop-up scene recreates the dramatic fall of Jericho’s walls, helping children visualize God’s power through obedient faith.
